The technology developed basically consists of a robot that walks over the electricity networks, carrying out a visual and thermal inspection of the network, recording photos and everything. These photos are then processed by an AI with a neural network. Photos contain METAdata with GPS and other factors. Photos that present problems are flagged and a signal with their location is sent to the celesc team. The robot is still operated from the ground, but is expected to reach autonomous status.
