Description: The 4th Annual Cycle of SC2C.Aero was from December 2023 to November 2024 and the main focus of the SC2C.Aero team was the annual Brazil-Sweden cooperation event. By decision of the MCTI, the official meetings and workshops associated with the bilateral cooperation would take place in 2024 in Florianópolis, under local organization of SC2C.Aero. The 4th Workshop of SC2C.Aero was part of this general event.

Results:

1 – Demand Search:

Monthly online meetings occurred from February to November with the objective to organize the event of the bilateral cooperation named “Brazil-Sweden Cooperation Meetings 2024 in Floripa”. These meetings provided a fruitful interaction with several Brazilian entities: MCTI – Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, Embassy of Sweden in Brasilia, CNI – National Confederation of Industries, CISB – Swedish-Brazilian Research Innovation Centre, FAPESP – Foundation for Research and Innovation of the State of Santa Catarina, and EMAER – Estado-Maior da Aeronáutica who were engaged on the organization.

SC2C.Aero was engaged also on the Expedition of Synergies in C&T between Europe and Santa Catarina organized by FAPESC in 2024.

3 – Annual Matchmaking:

From November 11 to 13, 2024, SC2C.Aero was the local organizer of the Brazil-Sweden Cooperation Meetings 2024, in Floripa. This event brings together several official meetings organized by MCTI, as well as workshops on Brazil-Sweden Cooperation. These events were also part of the 12th edition of the Sweden-Brazil Innovation Weeks, promoted by the Swedish Embassy in Brasília.

Around 300 people attended the meetings over the three days, with balanced participation from the different segments, as can be seen in the graph below.

The 4th Workshop of SC2C.Aero was part of the program. On November 12, the focus was on aeronautics through two panels: The discussion about tools and disciplines for aerospace was carried out by representatives from the universities UFSC and ITA and the companies ESSS and Aquarela Advanced Analytics. The other topic was engineering projects and innovation, with presentations from SENAI, CERTI, UFSC and Innovair (Sweden). CONDEFESA presented opportunities for R&D&I on the defense industry context.

The workshop on space occurred on November 13 including three round tables with participation of leaders from AEB, Visiona, INPE, CENSIPAM, UFSC, and Space&Terra. A panel of industries, startups, and research institutes completed the workshop.
