The Santa Catarina’s Center of Convergence for Aerospace Technologies – SC2C.Aero was constituted by the initiative between the FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF SANTA CATARINA (UFSC) and the CERTI FOUNDATION (CERTI), with support from FAPESC and MCTI. It is a nucleus linked to the Technological Center at UFSC.
SC2C.Aero works as an environment for cooperation and operationalization of R&D&I activities and human resources formation for the aerospace sector, connecting national and international ongoing initiatives. The SC2C.Aero actions promote programs for sectorial development, increasing the attraction of investments with the mobilization of public and private agents, besides the integration of physical and human resources for tests and simulations focused on technologic demonstration for the aerospace sector. The SC2C.Aero is formed by Technical Groups from the Santa Catarina state, in Brazil.
Designed to inspire aerodynamics, speed and the feeling of thrust, the symbol is formed by the acronym SC2C in a stylized manner to form a design that resembles the silhouette of an aircraft or space rocket. Represents the push and pull effort of aerospace technologies.
SC2C.Aero aims to expand the international cooperation between Brazil and other countries in the field of aerospace technologies, as well as in other high technology industrial sctors as spillovers.
Act to attract public and private investments from Aerospace Sector to Santa Catarina through collaborative work as a technology convergence center.
In 2030, Santa Catarina will be on top 3 in Brazil, considering the investments in the Aerospace Sector – and the network and its members will be recognized as the main drivers.
